Canon C200 Hire Overview

The Canon C200 is available to hire or rent and is the go to camera for our corporate video production team it has a couple of great new features including a touch screen LCD panel and the coveted Dual Pixel Autofocus systemwe first saw on the Canon C100 MKII

Canons new dual pixel autofocus is a brilliant feature and we love love love it so much it allows you to focus quickly but also control the focus point on the touch screen LCD you can adjust the speed of the focus transition and this allows you to pull focus between subjects without touching the focus ring

If you want to keep your workflow simple you can shoot c log straight to the SDHC cards at 50p and at 4k we use this feature as our personal prefernce when filming corporate content without the need to use C Fast cards and recording in RAW but if you need the additional benfits of shooting in higher bit rates or in RAW then the C200 is well up to the task

Learn More about the Canon C200

The C200 is the first Cinema EOS camera capable of supporting and reording Cinema RAW Light making it perfect for content creators to shoot Raw internally to Cf Fast Cards and allowing frame rates up to an impressive 120FPS in HD giving you a great flexibility over creativity

The EOS C200 features Canon’s 4K Super 35mm CMOS sensor with an effective pixel count of 8.85MP, along with the newly developed Dual DIGIC DV6 image processors. As a result, it candeliver Cinema RAW Light recording at 4K DCI 50P internally to a CFast 2.0™ card. It can also deliver 4K UHD recording at 150Mbps, and 2K or Full HD at 35Mbps to SD cards in MP4 format.

Supporting up to 15-stops of dynamic range with Cinema RAW Light and up to 13-stops of dynamic range in MP4 (Canon Log / Log 3), the camera is perfect for capturing highlight and shadow details.

Brilliant in low light or capturing detail in shadows with an impressive ISO range of 100 to 102,400 with the best results at 800 ISO

In some cases like the the dual pixel autofocus the C200 is a lot easier to use than the C300 MKII unless you are worried about certain codecs that the C300 MKII has built in that Canon held back on the C200

The Canon C200’s weighs in at a smidge under 1.6KG without a lens making it perfect for hand held shooting on long days and in its stripped down guise is perfect as the ultimate drone camera and is used as such by many of our clients

Transferring Footage

It’s easier than you think to get the footage from the Canon C200 to your computer
WATCH THE VIDEO

Learn More
Its a breeze to transfer your video footage from your hired video camera before you need to return it, all you need to do is connect the camera to your PC or MAC via a USB cable or if you have a card reader you can take the card from the video camera and insert it directly into your computer and you can copy all the footage over

An important point to bear in mind is ensure you copy everything over from thetop level of folders, for example dont just copy the actual video clips over, if you do not copy all the files over you can run into trouble when trying to play back or import the footage, the other files on the card will be the data files that your computer will need to access to make sense of the clips without this oimportant information you will be left with video that you may be unable to play

So be safe copy everything from the top folders across to your computer and you will be safe to return the video camera knowing you have everything you need to complete your video edit

See the entire process on the video and if you need a hand at any stage thats what we are here for so please reach out
