Canon XA30 Hire Overview

When you hire the Canon XA30 which is a replacement for the Canon XA20 you get an improved advanced HD CMOS professional image sensor this gives you fantastic low light performance which cuts down on any grain that you would normally see when filming in low light. It records in MP4 and AVCHD formats at 60FPS in full HD and you also have the option 24p to gove you that lovely cinematic look to your production.

With Dual card slots that support SDHC you can film long sessions and hot swap cards along the way there is also the new option to allow you to connect microphones via bluetooth and control the camera via an app on an Iphone or Ipad and you can even transfer the footage using Wi-Fi or FTP allowing you to quickly transfer footage for the fastest turnaround.

Featuring a full manual or full auto setup its perfect for inexperienced users or pro videographers whi may want to have manual control over certain features

Learn More about the Canon XA30

The Canon XA30 is extremely popular with clients looking to hire a video camera for weddings, school performances and conferences that have limited knowledge of operating video cameras and is used a great deal as additional cameras for professionals that need a video camera they can set up to cover additional angles set the canon XA30 to record and leave it to do its thing unmanned safe in the knowledge it will capture footage you can use.

The quality is very similar to that oof a DSLR and works well with Canon profiles so if your main camera is a Canon DSLR or a higher specified Canon Video camera then this footage will match in nicely for you saving you a headache in post its usin 4:2:2 like DSLRs and packs lots of broadcast features should you need them

It’s been a very popular camcorder for wedding photographers and other professional videographers. Although its footage is closer to DLSR quality (4:2:0) than the type used by network news stations (4:2:2), it’s packed with features far superior to a consumer model.

If your recording a rugby match or a skateboarder then you can record at 60FPS allowing you to capture fast paced action smoothly and take advantage of both digital image stabilisation and optical stabilisation

If you’re new recording video the you can relax knowing that setting the camera to auto will take care of everything for you including the white balance but you can also set that manually if you would prefer and the expososure is deal with again if you would prefer you can adjust this using the iris dial easily and then there is the clever focus option that will find and track faces to keep everything sharp and crisp for you.

Audio wise the caneras in built mic is actually pretty good but remember this will capture audio from all around the camera if you need more focused sound then you can add a top mic to give you a more directional pick up or if you want to hear just the person you are filming then a wirless lapel mic will do the trick for you without having to worry about picking up any distracting sounds around

In your package is two batteries giving you upto 8 hiurs operating time or you can plug your hired Canon XA30 directly into the mains to give you continious power
